Emmy Awards 2022: dit zijn de genomineerden

Op 13 september is het weer zover en worden de Emmy Awards voor de 74ste keer uitgereikt. De voorpret kan inmiddels beginnen, want de nominees zijn bekend.

Grootste nominaties

Wanneer de nominaties bekend worden, zitten er altijd een aantal titels tussen waarvan we wísten dat ze genomineerd zouden worden. Een show die ontzettend veel nominaties in de wacht sleepte is – no surprise – Ted Lasso. De serie met acteur Jason Sudeikis kreeg maar liefst 20 (!) nominaties. De dramaserie is hiermee overigens niet eens titel die de meeste nominaties kreeg, die eer ging naar Succession. De serie won in het verleden al 9 primetime Emmy's en kan dat getal met 25 nominaties dit jaar naar 34 brengen.

Bovenstaande zijn natuurlijk mooie prestaties, maar ook die van Zendaya willen we even uitlichten. Zo is de 25-jarige actrice de jongste producer die ooit in aanmerking kwam voor de prijs. En daarnaast sleepte ze ook nog twee andere nominaties in de wacht.

Andere nominaties gingen naar Lily James voor haar rol in Pam & Tommy, en ook haar tegenspeler Sebastian Stan sleepte een nominatie in de wacht. Ook Sandra Oh en Jodie Comer ontvingen een nominatie voor hun rol in de hitserie Killing Eve. En de acteerkwaliteiten van Squid Game's Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo en Oh Yeong-su zijn ook niet onopgemerkt gebleven.
