Emmy nominaties 2024: eerste nominatie voor Selena Gomez en serie The Bear breekt record

Ze zijn weer bekend: de nominaties voor de Emmy Awards die in september worden uitgereikt. Er zaten langverwachte nominaties tussen (eindelijk één voor Selena Gomez) en een aantal niet verrassende plaatsingen (weer veel nominaties voor The Bear).

Nominaties

Jawel, voor haar rol als Mabel Mora in de serie Only Murders in the Building heeft Selena Gomez haar eerste Emmy-nominatie in de wacht gesleept. In haar Instagram Stories deelt de actrice dat ze ontzettend dankbaar is voor de nominatie. "Ik ben vereerd en ontzettend dankbaar. Bedankt Only Murders in the Building dat jullie me Mabel hebben gegeven", schrijft ze.

Ook Selena's collega's Steve Martin, Paul Rudd, Meryl Streep, Matthew Broderick en Da'Vine Joy Randolph zijn voor hun acteerwerk in de serie genomineerd. Only Murders in the Building heeft in totaal 21 nominaties gekregen. Indrukwekkend!

Record voor The Bear

Ondanks dat Only Murders in the Building maar liefst 21 nominaties heeft gekregen, is er een serie die nóg vaker is genomineerd. De serie Shōgun kreeg 25(!) nominaties. The Bear gaat ervandoor met 23 nominaties, en verbreekt daarmee het record voor het aantal nominaties voor een komedieserie. Het oude record stond op 22 nominaties voor de komedieserie 30 Rock in 2009.
